The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has opened the application process for Chartered Accountant firms and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) interested in getting empanelled with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) for the fiscal year 2024-2025. The enrollment aims to appoint auditors for companies under Sections 139(5) and 139(7) of the Companies Act 2013 and for Statutory Corporations/Autonomous Bodies in accordance with the provisions of their respective Acts.
The online application form, accompanied by detailed instructions, will be available on the official website of ICAI from January 5, 2024, to February 15, 2024.
According to an official notification on the ICAI website, applicant firms/LLPs must update their data to reflect the status of their firm as of January 1, 2024. Failure to generate an online acknowledgment letter by the specified deadline will result in the application not being considered for empanelment.
To complete the application process, firms/LLPs are required to submit a printout of the online acknowledgment letter and hard copies of supporting documents to the ICAI office by February 28, 2024.
This opportunity provides Chartered Accountants with the chance to play a crucial role in auditing companies and statutory bodies, contributing to financial accountability and transparency. Interested candidates are encouraged to visit the official ICAI website for further details and to initiate the application process.
