In a momentous announcement on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude for being invited to the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 19. The much-anticipated event is set to witness the grand ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony on January 22, where Lord Ram will be enshrined in his revered temple.

PM Modi, speaking to the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) via video conferencing, shared that he has embarked on a special 11-day fast as a spiritual preparation for the forthcoming ceremony.

“After a few days, on January 22, Lord Ram will give us darshan in his grand temple, and I am fortunate that I have been invited for the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya. I have also started a special anushthan ahead of the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony … Lord Ram is not possible without Mata Shabri,” PM Modi stated.

The Prime Minister’s dedication to spiritual practices reflects the cultural and religious significance attached to the consecration ceremony, which is expected to draw devotees and dignitaries from across the nation.

In a parallel commitment to uplifting rural communities, PM Modi, during the virtual interaction, released the first instalment of Rs 540 crore to 1 lakh beneficiaries of a rural housing scheme under PM-JANMAN. This move aligns with the government’s continuous efforts to address housing needs in rural areas and ensure the well-being of the underprivileged.

PM Modi is scheduled to preside over the temple’s opening and the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony on January 22, marking a historic moment in the temple town of Ayodhya. The event is poised to be a symbol of unity, faith, and cultural harmony, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds to witness the culmination of a long-cherished dream.
