Ayodhya, the timeless city of cultural richness and spiritual significance, is gearing up for an extravagant celebration as it prepares to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the much-anticipated Ramotsav 2024. Directed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Cultural Department is leaving no stone unturned in orchestrating a grand spectacle that promises to unfold the essence of Uttar Pradesh’s vibrant culture.
A dazzling array of cultural events is set to take place along the route from the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, traversing the Dharma Path and Ram Path, all the way to the railway station. Over 1,400 local artists, each a beacon of tradition and artistry, will grace approximately 40 stages, creating an immersive experience for both PM Modi and the eager audience.
The Cultural Department, following the meticulous instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has meticulously organized a series of performances that showcase the diversity and splendor of Uttar Pradesh’s cultural heritage. A total of 40 stages, strategically positioned along the route, will feature captivating presentations by local artists, ensuring a seamless flow of cultural richness.
The airport’s Gate Number 3 will host a monumental stage, while five stages will be strategically placed between the Airport and Saket Petrol Pump. Along the Dharma Path, 26 stages will come to life with the vibrant performances of local artists. The cultural extravaganza will unfold on five stages along the Ram Path and three stages spanning from Arundhati Parking to Tedhi Bazaar and the Railway Station.
Vaibhav Mishra from Ayodhya will set the tone with the resounding ‘conch,’ while Mohit Chaurasia from Kashi will enchant the audience with the rhythmic beats of the ‘damru.’ The ‘Bam Rasiya’ performance by Khajan Singh, Mahipal, and their team from Mathura promises to leave an indelible mark.
Mathura’s popular ‘Mayur’ dance will grace several stages, accompanied by the talents of Deepak Sharma, Govind Tiwari, and Madhav Acharya, among others, who will present their mesmerizing performances with their respective teams.
The cultural programs will weave a tapestry of various dance forms, including ‘Avadhi,’ ‘Vantangiya,’ and ‘Faruwahi,’ adding vibrant colors to the ‘Ramnagari’ celebration. Ragini Srivastava and Brajesh Pandey will showcase ‘Avadhi’ folk dance, while Sugam Singh Shekhawat will bring forth the art of ‘Vantangia’ dance. Various folk dances from other states will also be presented, including the ‘Been-bansuri’ dance by Ramveer and Palinaath from Haryana, ‘Chakri’ dance by Mamta from Rajasthan, and ‘Baredi’ dance by Manish Yadav from Madhya Pradesh.
