In a kaleidoscope of colors and cultural richness, artists hailing from various corners of the State converged in the heart of Hosapete to unveil their artistic prowess during the spellbinding Vasantha Vaibhava procession. This vibrant spectacle served as a prelude to the much-anticipated three-day Hampi Utsav, set to commence in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi in Vijayanagara district.

The lively procession commenced at the revered Wadakaraya Temple at 3 p.m., weaving its way through the bustling streets of the city. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the performers enthralled onlookers who had gathered along the roadsides to witness the cultural extravaganza. The procession culminated at the District Stadium, leaving a lasting imprint on the senses of all who witnessed the spectacle.

Dollu Kunita, Maragalu Kunita, Gombe Kunita, Veeragase, Kahalevadana, Kamsale, Puja Kunita, Somana Kunita, Hagalu Vesha, Goravara Kunita, Kamsale, Huli Kunita, Hakkipikki Kunita, Sonnada Halage Vadana, Samala, Nandikolu Kunita, and Kolata emerged as the stars of the evening, captivating the audience with their mesmerizing performances.

A staggering 50 cultural troupes participated in this cultural fiesta, showcasing the diversity and richness of the region’s artistic heritage. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as the rhythmic beats, colorful costumes, and intricate dance forms transported spectators into a realm of cultural splendor.

Prominent dignitaries, including Vijayanagara MLA H.R. Gaviyappa, Deputy Commissioner M.S. Diwakar, and Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer B. Sadashiva Prabhu, gathered near the Padagatte Anjaneya Temple to witness the procession. Their presence not only added to the grandeur of the event but also served as a source of encouragement for the talented artists.
